UW Trustees Approve Personnel Items

Oct. 1, 2005 -- University of Wyoming trustees today (Saturday) approved the following personnel items:

Administrative Appointments:
Academic Affairs

Kelly Lowe as a project director with the Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning. Lowe received a B.A. (1989) in English from Ohio University, an M.A. (1991) in English from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and a Ph.D. (1995) in English studies from Illinois State University.

Brent Pickett as University of Wyoming Casper College Center associate dean. He received a B.A. (1989) in political science from Wichita State University, and an M.A. (1991) and a Ph.D. (1995) in political science from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Faculty Appointments:
College Agriculture

Christopher Bastian as Department of Agriculture and Applied Economics assistant professor. He received both a B.S. (1987) in farm and ranch management and an M.S. (1990) in agricultural economics from UW, and a Ph.D. (2004) in agricultural and resource economics from Colorado State University.

Mariah Tanner-Ehmke as Department of Agriculture and Applied Economics instructor. She received a B.S. (1997) in human ecology from Kansas State University, an M.S. (2001) in agricultural economics from Ohio State University, and a Ph.D. (2005) in agricultural economics from Purdue University.

Kari Morgan as Department of Family and Consumer Sciences assistant professor. Morgan received a B.S. (1991) in child and family studies from UW, an M.S. (1993) in family studies from the University of Maryland, and a Ph.D. (1998) in child and family studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Kenji Sato as Department of Veterinary Sciences assistant professor. Sato received a D.V.M. (1984) from Yamaguchi University, an M.P.V.M. (1999) from the University of California-Davis, and a Ph.D. (2003) in large animal clinical sciences from Michigan State University.

Douglas Russell as Department of Art assistant professor. He received a B.F.A. (1990) from Columbia College-Missouri, and an M.F.A. (1995) from the University of Iowa.

Jan Kubelka as Department of Chemistry assistant professor. Kubelka received an M.S. (1996) in physics from Charles University Prague, and a Ph.D. (2002) in physical chemistry from the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Scott Culhane as Department of Criminal Justice assistant professor. He received a B.A. (1998) in psychology from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, an M.S.
