Oct. 27, 2003 -- Casino games, prizes, costumes, Beatles music and pirates all can be enjoyed during Halloween Casino Night, Friday, Oct. 31, starting at 8:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Wyoming Union. The casino games include blackjack, roulette, craps, bingo, token slot machines and poker.
"It will be a lot of fun because there will be so much to do," says Rebecca Madsen, a Friday Night Fever team member. "It will be even better if everyone comes in costume and competes in the costume contest."
Casino night winners will get gift certificates and other prizes. The grand prize will be a ski trip to Jackson Hole including two nights at the Best Western Inn at Teton Village and two all-day lift tickets at the Jackson Hole Ski Area.
The Fab 4 www.the-fab-4.com, a Beatles cover band from Colorado, will entertain in the Union Gardens. The summer blockbuster, "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl," will be shown at 8:45 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Family Room. Madsen encourages people to arrive early to get good seats.
The event is sponsored by Friday Night Fever, Student Activities Council, ASUW, Residence Halls Association, Freshman Senate, International Student Association, Associated Students of Social Work and Family Weekend.
