This option prepares students for careers as research analysts in the public and private sectors, as well as providing exceptionally strong background for entry into a doctoral program in sociology. 

In addition to the foundation courses of SOC 5070 (Statistical Methods for the Social Sciences) and SOC 5100 (Advanced Social Research Methods), this track requires completion of 5600 (Global Population Issues) and two 5000-level courses in statistics.
