Staff Senate

Know Your Senators – President Jim Logue

Jim Logue is beginning his sixth year as a Senator for Staff Senate, having served as Member-At-Large, Vice President and Chair of the Compensation Committee.  As the first off-campus President of the Senate, Jim is excited to have the opportunity to give voice to off-campus employees, but to also learn from and represent the UW community as a whole.  Jim joined Staff Senate to participate in efforts to recognize staff and to expand staff opportunities for growth and promotion.

Jim was hired in 2002 by the University of Wyoming/Casper College Center as the first off-campus technology staff member to service the Casper center as well as the Outreach regional offices around the state.  Jim joined Information Technology as an early member of the staff consolidation effort and is a member of the Academic Support Unit.  Jim also coordinates off-campus IT aspects of capital construction projects.

Jim was born in Townsend, Montana, and raised in Casper.  He attended Natrona County High School and enjoyed an extended college career in Casper, Boston, MA, and Salt Lake City, resulting in a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Utah and he is currently pursuing an MBA in Information Technology at Western Governors University.  In his off time, Jim is an amateur marathon runner and a personal chef.
