Agricultural Education Lab

The agricultural mechanics lab provides future agricultural education teachers the facility to develop their “hands-on” skills in preparing to teach the agricultural mechanics and agricultural technologies subjects. Skills in areas such as construction, welding, plumbing, electrical wiring, small gas engines, tractors and hydraulics, aquaculture, hydroponics, irrigation, and greenhouse management are learned and practiced in the agricultural education lab. Lab classes are small and allow for a great deal of one-on-one interaction with professors and fellow students. A total of 12 credit hours of college courses are taught in this lab as well as practice teaching during the senior year.
