CAEP Annual Measures

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) requires that educator preparation provides submit annual reports to CAEP that gather common data for eight annual measures. These measures demonstrate impact around student learning, teacher effectiveness, employer and completer satisfaction, and specific outcomes and consumer information, such as graduation, licensure, employment, and student loan default rates. These data inform CAEP about the degree to which providers continue to meet CAEP Standards between accreditation visits, and also provide important information for the benefit of consumers. This page provides links to data for each of the annual measures, as related to the educator preparation programs in the College of Education at the University of Wyoming.

This link contains initial and/or advanced programs that were part of the last accreditation review, as requested in Section 1.2 of the annual report.

MEASURE 1:

Impact that completers' teaching has on P-12 learning and development

The state of Wyoming does not provide assessment data that can be linked to individual teachers. As a result the College of Education will pursue alternative means to provide these data.

MEASURE 2:

Indicators of teaching effectiveness

UW is collecting surverys through the internal Trustees Education Initiative in conjunction with the Common Indicator System and the Deans for Impact group (The Teacher Belief and Mindset Survey, The Beginner Teacher Survey and The Employer Survey) that will assist in providing data around teaching effectiveness. UW is focused on collecting more data on program completers. The edTPA is the initial indicator for teaching effectiveness for our students that will soon be completers since they are embedded in actual classrooms, and listed as a teacher of record.
