Safety Planning

No matter what else you decide to do or not do, it's important to take steps to help you feel and stay safe, both physically and emotionally. Safety planning is the process of thinking through available resources and options, and developing a plan to maximize the likelihood that you will stay safe from future violence.

Safety planning is most effective when done with a confidential advocate or someone else with broad knowledge of available resources and options. You can make an appointment or just drop in to see the SAFE Project campus services coordinator, and get help developing a safety plan.

Danger Assessment

The Danger Assessment is a researched self-survey that can help inform how concerned you should be about your safety in your relationship. The survey score is not a guarantee, but the outcome has proved accurate in over 90% of situations. Please contact the SAFE Project campus advocate or the Stop Violence Office if you have questions or concerns about your Danger Assessment score.
