Men Survivors

Men experience sexual violence. 13% of male-identified students reported experiencing at least one instance of unwanted sexual touching, penetration, or attempted penetration while at UW. Many men are also survivors of childhood abuse, including childhood sexual abuse.

But many male survivors may feel that they should just "man up" and get over it, or may feel that no one will believe that they experienced of nonconsensual sexual behavior.

We believe you, and we want to help. Come to the Stop Violence office or visit the SAFE Project Campus Advocate for more information about options available to you.

You're not alone.

Visit 1in6 for more information and resources specifically for male survivors of unwanted or abusive sexual experiences.
