Criminal Law - Know Your Rights|Students Legal Services - ASUW

This section of the Students' Attorney Program's website is to help educate UW students' about their rights regarding criminal law. The following eight articles about criminal law were researched and written by multiple SAP externs throughout the years. Zane A. Gilmer, a University of Wyoming College of Law student, who worked under the terms of a project funded by the Associated Students of the University of Wyoming (ASUW)in the spring of 2009 wrote traffic stops, home searches, encounters with police, arrests, and most of alcohol related offenses. Danielle Moore, a University of Wyoming College of Law student, in the summer of 2010 wrote the first offender treatment section. Emily Thomas, a University of Wyoming College of Law student, in the spring of 2012 wrote the expungement laws, Wyoming drug laws, and added penalties and punishments to alcohol related offenses. All students were supervised by the Students' Attorney Program.
