London Semester|Study Abroad

London Semester

Each spring a group of University of Wyoming students and a UW faculty member spend three months in London.  They are joined there by similar groups from other American universities.  Students take classes from the American professors and from British faculty.  You pre-register for courses in the fall, just as you would if you were on campus.  All courses have UW course numbers, so there is no problem with transferring course work.

Sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, the London Semester welcomes students from all majors as well as those who are undeclared.  Non-traditional students regularly participate, as do some freshmen who can benefit from the program.

Spaces are available for Summer 2016!  Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!

Midwestern State University, along with its consortium partners, is excited to announce its study abroad program in London, England.  Each year, MSU will arrange for students to study in the heart of one of the most exciting cities in the world. Undergraduate as well as graduate level courses will be offered.  All classes will be a six credit hour course with three hours awarded for lecture and three hours for individual research.  Classes will be small and include a mixture of lecture, guest lecture, field experience, and individual research.  Credit hours will be awarded by Midwestern State University and will be transferred to the student's home institution.  American faculty from Midwestern and consortium partners will direct each class and will be responsible for a student's final grade.

The cost of the program is approximately $6,900 for London or $6,800 for Tours, France ($7,050 for graduate students) and includes round-trip airfare from DFW or Denver to London, tuition, fees, housing, and all program-related transportation. There is a $150 surcharge for students taking the Shakespeare or Theatre class.  Food, underground Tube pass, and personal entertainment costs are the responsibility of the student (Two meals each day are included in France program).  A $250 non-refundable deposit must accompany the application to the program.
