Residence Hall Move-In Begins We'll welcome you to campus when you check-in at the residence hall to which you've been assigned and start settling into your room.

Cowboy Parents Reception Join Cowboy Parents for a drop-in reception in the Fireplace Lounge in the Washakie Center. Here parents and students can meet staff members from across campus, meet other parents and students, and pick up some tips to help during this new phase in your life.

Welcome to Wyoming Dinner Freshman students living in the residence halls and their parents are invited to the Washakie Center's Welcome to Wyoming Dinner. Feast on some of our region's delicacies while learning about the many food options available on campus.

President's Welcome Address and Reception Thursday evening culminates with President Buchanan's Welcome Address to the incoming class of 2012. This important event, attended by students and families, UW faculty, and Summit student leaders, celebrates and welcomes new students to the UW community. The Welcome Address will be held in the A&S Auditorium, with a reception immediately following in the Wyoming Union.

Keynote Speaker & Student Theatre All students will meet in the Arts & Sciences Auditorium to hear the 2012 keynote speaker, MTV's The Buried Life, and watch an unforgettable performance by UW’s award-winning theatre program. Student actors will introduce incoming students to UW’s culture, quirks, and life skills in and outside the classroom. Casino Night Kick off the Friday Night Fever Series with the annual Casino Night in the Wyoming Union! Enjoy free billiards, slot machines, cash cube, black jack, craps, roulette, and more. Prizes are available to participating UW students.

Activity Your RA will direct you to your designated activity and start time. These activities are designed to help students interact with campus and learn about the broader goals of a college experience. If you are participating in the Honors Program or other learning community, you may have scheduled activities for this time with your peers and instructors.
