FIN 3250
Managerial Finance

Back to course descriptions

If you are looking for an interesting, challenging, and profitable career - give the field of finance serious consideration! Finance 3250 provides an introduction to corporate financial management. This class deals with management of capital in a business firm; and, treats policies and actions relating to asset structure, risk, income and cash flows. Throughout the course, the topic will be considered from the viewpoint of the financial manager of a corporation. However, the importance of finance is not limited to the financial manager of a Fortune 500 firm. Principles learned apply equally to large and small enterprises, including one-person businesses and even the family. Although most of the descriptive material necessary for the study of financial management will be discussed, emphasis will be placed on the analytical and quantitative methods developed in recent years.

Course Objectives
