Real Estate and Urban Economics

This course is an introduction to the physical, legal and economic fundamentals of real estate using an Overview of the University of Wyoming - stadium in the center, Snowy Mountain Range in the background.  integration of real estate markets, mortgage financing, appraisal principles, and investment analysis. Topics include basic property and contract law, leases, financing, taxation, and the fields of property management, finance, appraisal, brokerage, and investments. FIN 4800

Real Estate Finance

Forms of ownership and investment in real estate are examined. In particular, the course will include discussion of markets and methods of financing real property. Real estate finance topics will be covered both from the perspective of borrowers and lenders. This is a 3-credit hour course taught by Mark Sunderman.

Real Estate Appraisal

This course covers the basics of appraisal, the three main approaches to valuation, reconciliation, and report. Topics of mass appraisal and multiple regression analysis are also considered. This course deals with elements of real estate appraisal as they apply to residential, commercial/industrial and rural real property. This is a 3-credit hour course taught by Mark Sunderman.

BADM 3000

Real Estate Law

This course is intended to provide students with a broad understanding of the legal issues and process involved in buying, selling, and using real property. It addresses type of property and ownership, issues that arise in the process of buying, selling, and renting land, and the legal rights and duties of landowners and others. Managerial Finance

This course is an introduction to corporate financial management. We will consider the topic from the viewpoint of the financial manager of a corporation. Although University of Wyoming students financial decision-making may be centered in a separate area, financial decisions are closely related to decisions made throughout the firm. In its simplest form, financial decisions are involved in managing the cash inflows and outflows of a firm. Because the objective of financial management is to maximize the long-run value of a firm's common stock, the primary decision areas are focused on operations, working capital, investment and financing. Financial Markets and Institutions
