M.S., 2000, Environmental Studies/Env. Education, University of Montana
B.S., 1977, Natural Resources Management/Forestry, Colorado State University

Research Emphasis
Ecological relationships in plant communities over space and time with a special interest in community composition, stability, and basic function.

Current research projects
I did my Ph.D. research with Dr. Elise Pendall and Dr. Brent Ewers to quantify the physiology of Artemisia tridentata var. vaseyana along a chronosequence with a main focus on carbon, water, and nitrogen flux in Wyoming. We used a variety of field techniques to obtain data on several scales including plant level, local, regional, and globally. Some of the techniques we employed include eddy covariance, allometry, remote sensing, modeling, and GIS.
