Matt has served as the technical director and resident scenographer at the Interlochen Center for the Arts (2010-2014), Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival (2010-2013), the American College Dance Festival (2006 to Present), Carrickmacross Productions and Evolution Theatre companies in Columbus, Ohio and currently serves as the technical director and lighting designer for the Oberlin in Italy program based in Arezzo, Italy. 

Matt holds an M.F.A. in design from The Ohio State University with an emphasis in Czech scenic design and scenography and a B.A. from Wilmington College in Theatre Production and Design.

Matt’s designs have been featured internationally at the 2007 Toronto Fringe Festival, the 2007 Prague Quadrennial, in Prague, Czech Republic and in Arezzo and Cortona, Italy at the 2013 & 2014 Icastica Summer Arts Festival.  Nationally, Matt’s work has been seen Off-Broadway at Theatre Row, NYC, with the world premiere of Stripped!, with the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival’s Young Company productions of The Taming of the Shrew, As You Like It and A Midsummer Night’s Dream and recently at the Montana Shakespeare in the Parks production of The Robbin Island Bible. Selected designs credits include Spring Awakening, Cabaret, West Side Story, Frozen, The Blowin of Baile Gall, Stones in His Pockets, Trojan Women 2.0, Cyrano De Bergerac, Night Mother.   Operas include; La Rondine, Cosi fan Tutte, Gianni Schicci and L’0rfeo.
