April 21, 2008 -- A musical re-telling of familiar fairy tales will be presented by University of Wyoming Lab School students Thursday and Friday, April 24-25, at 6:30 p.m. in the College of Education auditorium.

"Into the Woods" features such characters as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Jack (of Beanstalk fame) running into each other in the woods while searching for their "happy ending."

Tickets cost $3 for adults and $2 for children ages 5-12. Children under 5 are free. Tickets are available from the UW Lab School office by calling 766-2155. Tickets also will be available at the door.

The cast is comprised of UW Lab School elementary and middle school students. Jennifer Mellizo, music teacher for grades K-9, is the director. Student teacher Natasha Snelson, a UW music education major from Laramie, assists Mellizo on the production.

Students are in charge of the sets, sound, lighting and stage/props.
