"The Gondoliers" is Gilbert and Sullivan's 12th and one of their most successful operas.
It is one of their more frequently performed works, second only to "The Mikado" in
number of performances. "The Gondoliers" has one of the longest vocal scores of any
of their operas and contains some of Sullivan's most beautiful and sophisticated music.
UW Professor Larry Hensel directs the performance, and UW Professor Michael Griffith
conducts the orchestra.
