Peter Weiss' controversial and subversive 1964 tour-de-force follows the patients of Charenton Asylum in post-Revolution France as they present a play about the murder of Jean-Paul Marat that turns into a political parable when they unleash their rage and incite rebellion.

MARAT/SADE contains language and themes, as well as scenes of a violent and/or sexual nature, that some may find objectionable.  It is not recommended for younger audiences.

John Brown's Body

Join us for a special presentation by all five members of the Peter Koi and Lynn Simpson family, who will present Stephen Vincent Bent's Pulitzer-Prize-winning epic poem about the American Civil War, John Brown's Body, as a staged dramatic reading in recognition of the 150th anniversary of the war.  The Cheyenne Symphony Chorale will join this benefit performance, and a living history exhibit will bring the piece alive for area students.
