Van Driver/Dispatcher

This position is hiring for both the Spring and Fall. Summer work not required but training will start in August.

JOB PURPOSE: 

Perform the duties of Van Driver/Dispatcher on various Demand Response operational services.  These Demand Response services include Paratransit, SafeRide, and Laramie Link Dial - A - Ride. These van services pick up riders on an "on-call" basis. CDL license is not required for this position, but a clean driving record is.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applicants will be trained to drive and dispatch for the services.

  • Safely operate UW transit vehicles. Pick-up and drop off passengers at locations within Laramie.

  • Complete safety inspections of vehicles to ensure equipment is operating within safe operating parameters. Maintain inventory of equipment.

  • Dispatch vehicles/drivers and schedule rides.

  • Assist with shop and cleaning duties, maintain vehicle and office cleanliness.

  • Provide excellent customer service to all passengers, offer assistance and answer questions for passengers as required.

  • Orient and train new drivers and dispatchers as required.

  • Assist drivers in maintaining passenger safety and provide directions to drivers. 

  • All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Parking Services Officer

Job Duties:

The main responsibility of this position is to enforce the University of Wyoming parking regulations on campus. It may also involve revenue collection, data entry, and other duties as assigned. Applicants must be able to provide quality customer service at all times and remain calm in stressful and sometimes difficult situations.

Transit & Parking Services is very flexible working with student schedules. Weekly hours can range anywhere from 10 - 20 hours. The normal hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.  Please note that this position requires occasional weekend and night work.  Position includes frequent pay scale reviews.

    Must be able to work in harsh weather conditions including Laramie winters.

Part-Time Bus Driver

Job Purpose:

UW Transit & Parking Services is seeking both experienced CDL (Class A or B) drivers and non-experienced drivers with a clean driving record interested in driving transit buses for the University of Wyoming Roundup Transit System.

  • CDL training is currently being offered with the Transit & Parking Services department.

  • Starting salary varies from $11.10 to $12.10/hr depending on experience and current certifications.

  • General working hours range from 15 to 25 hours a week, but will vary depending on the availability of the applicant and needs of the department.

  • Shifts Currently Open: 10:00 AM -7:00PM  

  • APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ENTIRITY OF SHIFT 2-3 TIMES/WEEK (M-F)

Car Washer

JOB PURPOSE: 

A part-time Car Washer to work the AM shift. This is an early morning shift from 6:30 am - 9:00 am or 10:00 am (end time is flexible).     

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prep vehicles including but not limited to vacuum interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, washing interior surfaces, washing exterior of the vehicles. 

  • Have rental vehicles ready for customers on time. 

  • Keep work area clean and free of hazards. Empty all trash containers daily. 

  • Clean drains when needed. 

  • Complete all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. 

Qualifications

Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent

Auto Shop Attendant

For fall of 2019.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare vehicles to be taken in for services and repairs. Inspect vehicles when they are returned.

  • Install or remove items on vehicles to make ready for customer or replacement of vehicles.

  • Perform any duties as needed, including but not limited to: delivering vehicles, filing papers, change batteries, install AIM, etc.

  • Check with Supervisor each work day for any important information or duties. 

  • Keep work area clean and free of hazards.
