ABOUT: The Wyoming Articulation Summit is an annual statewide gathering of higher education administrators, faculty, staff, and other professionals to discuss transfer articulation efforts, impacts, and plans.

REGISTRATION: Please visit our registration page and provide information in advance of the Summit. We encourage preregistration from all participants so we can contact you directly with updates and provide a link to the transfer data report.

New Transfer Student Data Report

The University of Wyoming Office of Institutional Analysis produces an annual report on enrollment, performance, retention & graduation, and demographics of new Wyoming transfer students at UW.

In keeping with the virtual format of the 2020 Articulation Summit, the New Wyoming Transfer Student report will be available the day of the Summit via a link published on this page:

8:00 – 8:30 AM

  • "State of the State" presentation by UW President Ed Seidel and WCCC Executive Director Sandy Caldwell

8:35 – 10:30 AM

  • Session 1: AcademyOne - panel discussion, Nicole McNeal moderating.
    • Session Title and Abstract: AcademyOne – Digital Articulation Services for Wyoming Students: This session will provide a broad introduction of the AcademyOne product: from its intended uses, functionality and implementation timeline. A year’s long effort has been underway to secure this product as part of the broad efforts to improve transfer services throughout Wyoming.  AcademyOne has substantial experience working with other state systems in their efforts to provide seamless transfer experiences for students and is bringing that wealth of industry knowledge to Wyoming.  
    • Session Goals and Learning Objectives:  The goals for this session are to provide an overview of the legislation which lead to finding AcademyOne as well as an introduction of the product to stakeholders from all areas of Wyoming higher education.

  • Session 2: Common Course Numbering System 101: Where We Started, Work in Progress & Maintenance Plan for CCNS – panel discussion, Nicole Anderson & Ben Moritz moderating.
    • Session Title and Abstract: Common Course Numbering System 101 – Where We Started, Work in Progress & Maintenance Plan for CCNS: This session will focus on both completed and planned future actions related to CCNS in Wyoming. This session will include a status update on current progress and integration with the AcademyOne product as well as outline what lies ahead as we enter into the Maintenance Plan after the Initial Stage of the project.
    • Session Goals and Learning Objectives: The goals for this session are to provide the status of various actions by the CCNS Committee related to Wyoming legislative initiatives and articulate the Maintenance Plan moving forward.

12:30 – 1:45 PM

  • Session 3: Wyoming Transfer Students - panel discussion, students representing Wyoming Community Colleges & UW – panel discussion, Ian Zerbe and Blake Johnson moderating.
    • Session Title and Abstract: The Transfer Experience – Student POV: This session will feature Wyoming students who either have transferred or are planning to transfer. The student panel will discuss things which worked well and areas where they may have experienced pain points along their transfer journey.
    • Session Goals and Learning Objectives:  The goal for this session is to provide a student point of view to higher education professionals seeking to serve transfer students and work towards creating a seamless transfer experience for future students.

Additional Meetings and Events

The year 2020 is forcing change into our lives in ways none of us could have expected.  In addition to the 2020 Articulation Summit being virtual this year, these additional changes are underway.

FACULTY BREAK-OUT SESSIONS

In previous years the faculty break out sessions were concurrent with the sessions of the Articulation Summit.  This year, break out sessions will be scheduled as individual zoom sessions for interested academic areas.  If you would like to have a break out session scheduled please contact:
