TransPark also provides Paratransit service for UW and Laramie community members with disabilities. The bus service provides door-to-door transportation within a 2-mile radius of the city limits. An application and verification of a temporary or permanent disability must be completed to be considered eligible to use the Paratransit service (see below). The hours of operation of the Paratransit shuttle are 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, with some weekend hours offered through ACTA. As Paratransit rides are scheduled on a first come-first serve basis, it is advisable to provide Transportation and Parking Services a copy of your schedule for the up-coming term as soon as you register. In other words, you should determine your UW-related transportation needs and get those rides reserved with the shuttle service as soon as possible.
Applications may be picked up at UDSS or the Transportation and Parking Services office at 432 N. 10th Street during regular business hours. Completion of the application may be accomplished in one of two ways: 1) your physician may complete and sign the application, or 2) a University Disability Support Service coordinator may complete the application if the applicant is registered for services through UDSS. It is also important to keep in mind the following guidelines: Applicants with a permanent disability need to fill out the application only once, applicants with a temporary disability must include an expiration date on the application. The application must be submitted to TransPark no later than three weeks after the first scheduled ride.
