WYTAP is a program allowing Wyoming residents with low incomes to apply for reduced-interest loans to purchase assistive technology and services.

At this time, there are no scholarships for individuals with disabilities to purchase assistive technology at UW. However, financial aid awards may be adjusted on an individual basis. The student will need to set up an appointment with a financial aid officer to determine eligibility.

A State and Federally sponsored program that provides services and advocacy for individuals with disabilities resulting in employment. DVR will often pay for devices and accommodations for students who are seeking education to fulfill employment goals. Students must be a client of DVR.

The independent living centers will work with someone to write a grant proposal for a specific device. Students would most likely need to work through the independent living center in their home town and not through the one in Laramie.

Students can also access a database of national scholarships and apply online. Fastweb requires students to sign-up for a free membership, as well as provide personal information, in order to access the database.
