University Disability Support Services
UW Outreach Students with Disabilities
UDSS works closely with the UW Outreach School to arrange accommodations that may be necessary for students with disabilities taking on-line courses, flexible enrollment (correspondence study) courses, and other extended credit courses (e.g. via compressed video, audio teleconferencing, etc.)
Check out the University of Wyoming Outreach School at http://www.uwyo.edu/outreach to learn more about the course delivery methods. Courses can be delivered in the following methods:
- Audio Conferencing
- Video Conferencing
- Web-based instruction
- Correspondence study
- On-site instruction
- Hybrid Instruction
Accommodations are similar to those provided students on the Laramie campus, but may be coordinated in a different fashion due to distance factors. Students anticipating the need for disability-related accommodations in their outreach courses should contact and provide documentation of their disability to UDSS as early as possible. Early contact will help ensure minimal delays in initiating services.
See other links on the UDSS website for more information about the types of accommodations typically offered and how to access them.
