Distance and UW Casper Students with Disabilities

DSS works closely with the UW Office of Distance Education and UW Casper to arrange accommodations that may be necessary for students with disabilities taking on-line courses, flexible enrollment (correspondence study) courses, and other extended credit courses (e.g. via compressed video, audio teleconferencing, etc.)

Check out the University of Wyoming Office of Distance Education. Courses can be delivered in the following methods:

  • Audio Conferencing

  • Video Conferencing

  • Web-based instruction

  • Correspondence study

  • On-site instruction

  • Hybrid Instruction

Accommodations are similar to those provided students on the Laramie campus, but may be coordinated in a different fashion due to distance factors. Students anticipating the need for disability-related accommodations in their outreach courses should contact and provide documentation of their disability to DSS as early as possible. Early contact will help ensure minimal delays in initiating services.

See other links on the DSS website for more information about the types of accommodations typically offered and how to access them.
