Safe Zone is a program geared towards creating an inclusive environment for the LGBTQIA community. This program allows for introspection and thought on various aspects of the LGBTQIA community via a discussion about tolerance and acceptance. Safe Zone aims to educate individuals on issues related to the LGBTQIA community and through this, provides the tools for participants to become Allies. Safe Zone at the University of Wyoming offers a variety of training sessions that cover topics from inequalities in the everyday lives of LGBTQIA individuals to healthcare issues specific to members of the LGBTQIA communities.
We are also currently accepting requests for group trainings. We can provide one of our standard workshops or adapt them (with enough notice) for your group, organization, classroom, faculty, or staff. Simply complete the Workshop Request Form and we will arrange a training! We ask to allow us at least 60 days notice in the instance you would like a special presentation. Due to the current amount of requests for workshops, we may not be able to accommodate requested specialized workshops to ensure that we can make as many requests happen as possible.
