Oct. 17, 2008 -- The Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning Fall Forum on Learning will be offered Monday, Oct. 20-Wednesday, Oct. 22.

Panels, dialogs, and workshops with UW presenters on reading, scientific literacy, outcomes of student civic engagement, ethics, and department assessment will be presented.

Key speakers are Karen Kashmanian Oates deputy director for the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation; and Tim Slater, the UW Excellence in Higher Education Endowed Chair of Science Education.
