College of Law Hosts Conversation Skills and Networking Presentation

The University of Wyoming College of Law will co-host a Webcast presentation on conversation skills and techniques Tuesday, Jan. 29 from noon-1 p.m. in Room 144 of the UW College of Law Building.

Debra Fine, an author, speaker and trainer on the subject, will present the program, "The Fine Art of Small Talk." The event focuses on networking skills, conversation tips, developing business relationships and being more composed and self-assured when talking.

"The event shows you how to turn every conversation, interview, association event, conference and business social occasion into an opportunity for success," says Anetra Parks, College of Law director of career services.

Fine regularly conducts programs for Fortune 500 firms and financial, legal, real estate and other organizations. Her best selling book "The Fine Art of Small Talk" received high reviews in the Library Journal and USA Today, and she was featured in Entrepreneur Magazine and The Chicago Tribune. The event is free and open to all students, and attorneys can receive one hour of general CLE credit.
