Digital Radio Among UW Television Program Segments
Digital radio and online journalism are among topics of a public affairs program that can be seen Thursday, Jan. 17, at 7:30 p.m. on KCWC, Wyoming Public Television.
Jon Schwartz, general manager of Wyoming Public Radio, will be a guest on the University of Wyoming program, "Wyoming Signatures." He will discuss what the station's new digital broadcasting capabilities mean for listeners now and in the future.
Eric Wiltse, who teaches online journalism in the UW Department of Communication and Journalism, is also on the program. He will assess how the news industry is changing to meet the demands of a rapidly-growing number of readers who turn to the Internet for news.
The program also includes lessons on tuning up cross-country skis plus a segment featuring Native American dancers from the Wind River Indian Reservation.
"Wyoming Signatures" is produced by UW Television. KCWC can be seen off-air or via cable in communities throughout Wyoming, including Casper, Cheyenne, Laramie, Riverton, Lander, Rock Springs, Green River, Powell, Cody, Sheridan, Gillette, Jackson, Pinedale and Big Piney.
