UW Now Accepting Energy Summer Institute Applications
January 10, 2008 — Applications for the University of Wyoming's second annual Energy Summer Institute are now being accepted from Wyoming ninth-grade students and public school teachers. Teachers from all grade levels are encouraged to apply.
The 2008 program, sponsored by the School of Energy Resources (SER), will be offered June 8-21. The institute's goal is to inspire the imagination of high school students about the challenging energy problems facing the world while exciting teachers about the energy industry and the School of Energy Resources.
"The program also affords the youth of Wyoming a terrific opportunity for exposure to higher education and all that the University of Wyoming has to offer," says Mark Northam, SER director.
