UW Department of Theatre and Dance Presents A Chorus Line
The University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance will close its 2007-08 production season with the Broadway classic, "A Chorus Line," on the Fine Arts Center main stage.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. April 24-26 and April 28-30, and an afternoon performance at 2 p.m. April 27. Tickets cost $16 for the public, $13 for seniors and $8 for students.
The production is choreographed by UW dance faculty member Jennifer Deckert with musical direction by Patrick Newell.
"A Chorus Line" is a musical about a group of dancers auditioning for the chorus of a Broadway musical. The show was recognized as an instant classic when it was first produced more than 30 years ago and has won nine Tony Awards, five Drama Desk Awards, three Obie Awards and the Pulitzer Prize. The production went on to become the longest-running musical in Broadway history, closing in 1990 after 15 years and 6,137 performances.
