UW Police Investigate Death of Student

University of Wyoming Police are investigating the apparent suicide of a UW student early Monday morning.

The body of Perrin T. Recks was found at the UW Office Annex at 406 S. 21st St. UW Police were called to the scene at about 4:30 a.m. by an employee in the building. UW Police Chief Troy Lane says no foul play is suspected.

Recks, 23, was a senior psychology major from Grand Junction, Colo. Recks was a part-time student worker at the Wyoming Survey and Analysis Center in the Office Annex.

Investigation by the UW Police Department and the Albany County Coroner's Office continues.

Counseling services have been made available to students, faculty and staff.
