UW Prepares for Pharmacy Weekend

The executive director of pharmacy operations and therapeutics for the Colorado Region of Kaiser Permanente will be the keynote speaker at the annual Otis L. Hoy Memorial Seminar during Pharmacy Weekend at the University of Wyoming, Sept. 26-27.

Dennis K. Helling, who has also served as president of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, will deliver his speech, titled "Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Services in an Integrated Delivery System: Outcomes and Future Practice Trends," at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, in Room 129 of the Classroom Building. The presentation is free and open to public. A reception follows outside Room 427 of the Health Sciences Center.

The seminar, which qualifies for Continuing Education credits with registration, launches several additional continuing education programs presented by the UW School of Pharmacy and the Wyoming Tripartite Committee on Continuing Education focusing on this year's Pharmacy Weekend theme, "New Challenges for Pharmacy Care Providers."

To register, print the registration form from the Web site and mail to the school with your payment to University of Wyoming/Pharmacy Fall CE, Dept. 3375, 1000 E. University Ave., Laramie, WY 82071. The registration fee is $65 and includes 6.5 hours of CE sessions.
