UW Art Museum Receives Major Donation
October 31, 2008 — The University of Wyoming Art Museum has been selected to receive a gift of 50 works of art from New York collectors Dorothy and Herbert Vogel.

October 30, 2008 — GE Energy and the University of Wyoming have reached agreement on a proposed development plan for the High Plains Gasification Advanced Technology Center. The agreement outlines the framework for the development, design, construction and operation of the facility, and enables work to begin immediately.
October 30, 2008 — An agreement between the University of Wyoming College of Education and Laramie County School District 1 will enable pre-service teachers in their senior year at UW to be placed in the district's elementary and secondary schools.

Office of the Registrar Gets Students Involved
October 29, 2008 — To encourage more students to read the front section of the class schedule, the University of Wyoming Office of the Registrar will award two $250 gift cards to the UW Bookstore to two students who find a statement placed in the printed copy of the spring 2009 class schedule.
October 28, 2008 — The Wyoming Geriatric Education Center (WyGEC) at the University of Wyoming has received $150,000 in state funds to expand its innovative mental health services program.
WYditarod Food Drive Contest to Benefit Laramie Community

Outdoor Slide Show Benefits Cancer Research
