UW Staff Families Identified for Christmas Donations
December 15, 2008 — Three families have been identified to receive Christmas donations from the campus community.
Donations of non-perishable food items are still being collected at various locations across campus and will be collected Thursday, Dec. 18. Listed below are descriptions and gift needs of the identified families. Also, a list of drop-off points across campus is provided below. Contributions can also be taken to the office of Milton D. Family No. 1: Single dad with two boys, ages 2 and 4. The 4-year-old wears a size 5; and the 2-year-old wears a size 3. Age-appropriate toys will be accepted.
Family No. 2: An employee is taking care of her daughter and granddaughter. Her 30-year-old daughter could use sweaters, size 14; and her granddaughter, age 6, could use clothes in size 6. She also would like "Wall*E" Disney toys.
Family No. 3: A married couple, with two children and a third expected in February. The 4-year old girl wears size 4 toddler, likes dresses and princess clothing; 2-year old boy, size 2 toddler, likes cars, truck and tractors. The family would also appreciate baby clothes and diapers.
Collection boxes will be picked up Thursday, Dec. 18. Drop-off locations are:
