The Good Mule Conference, a two-day event designed to develop student leaders who are informed voices for positive social change, will be Jan. 24-25 at the Laramie Train Depot.
The conference is part of the Good Mule Project, a student-led national initiative
to increase awareness of social and environmental justice issues, encourage civic
mindedness and promote cross-cultural understanding.
"Students will learn about effective activism skills like grassroots organizing, fundraising
and lobbying from prominent University of Wyoming faculty and local civic leaders,"
says Jenny Reese, conference coordinator. "The Good Mule Conference provides an exciting
opportunity for students to learn how their passion for helping others can be used
to really make a difference in someone else's life."
All activities are free and open to the public. For a complete schedule of events,
