Tuesday, Jan. 20, 4 p.m. -- Popular Jazz musician Irvin Mayfield discusses "Jazz Talks Social Justice," Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom. Free.
Tuesday, Jan. 20, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Cultural Programs presents Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Fine Arts Center concert hall. Tickets cost $25 for students and senior citizens and $30 for others.
Wednesday, Jan. 21, 7 p.m. -- UW women's basketball, Wyoming vs. TCU, Arena-Auditorium.
Thursday, Jan. 22, 5 p.m. -- Chicago Tribune columnist Dawn Turner Trice lecture, "The 'R' Word: Using Journalism to Open a Civic Dialogue on Race and Culture," Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.
Thursday, Jan. 22, 7:30 p.m. -- Former UW women's basketball coach Margie McDonald discusses "Diversity in Sports, Title IX," Wyoming Union ballroom. Free.
Friday, Jan. 23, 5 p.m. -- Former ACLU president Nadine Strossen discusses "Social Justice Through Advocacy and Activism: Conversations About Current Civil Liberties, Challenges and Controversies," Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom. Free.
Friday, Jan. 23, 6:30 p.m. -- Screening of "The Kite Runner," 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., discussion to follow the 6:30 p.m. showing, Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.
Friday, Jan. 23, 7 p.m. -- Renowned tap dancer Ellie Sciarra will give an informal performance of her repertory dance piece, Fine Arts Center Studio Theatre. Free.
