Open forums with four candidates for the position of UW Environmental Health and Safety director will be held Thursday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. in Salon G at the Hilton Garden Inn and UW Conference Center.
Each of the candidates will give a 10-minute presentation titled, "What is the importance of an effective Environmental Health and Safety Department at a University?" Presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.
The four candidates are:
Nancy Fox, public health response coordinator for Lincoln and Sublette Counties Health Agencies, Grover, Wyo;
Holly Gates-Mayer, industrial hygienist for the University of Idaho, Moscow;
Ben Owens, chemical hygiene officer and biosafety officer, University of Nevada, Reno;
and Kirt Poulsen, safety and industrial hygiene manager, Utah State University, Logan.
