Feb. 5, 2009 -- The Associated Students of the University of Wyoming will sponsor a night of music, relaxation and free food when the local acts, Ross Lindstrom and The Upbeat Project, come to UW. They will perform Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 8 p.m. in the Wyoming Union ballroom.

Cheyenne native Lindstrom is a solo performer with an acoustic and reggae sound.

The Upbeat Project is a funk and reggae band based from Laramie. Some of the members have been in the band for six years, while others have only been there for six months. They have performed at several local venues.

"I hope a lot of people come out. We have a high energy sound that's great to dance to and it should be a great time," says Jerred Stole, The Upbeat Project's trumpet player.
