Survey Will Measure Perception of Counseling Mental Health Services
February 9, 2009 — The UW Counseling Center will soon send a campus-wide e-mail inviting faculty and staff to participate a Web-based survey to gather input about university mental health services.
"This survey is part of a study to better understand how faculty, staff and resident assistants view the available university mental health services and institutional policies, and to better understand the types and frequency of interactions they have with students who present difficult personal or emotional issues," says Dan W. Socall, Counseling Center director. "This study will also collect data from key stakeholders regarding potential barriers that may prevent students from using university mental services."
He says all community members who participate will be given an opportunity to be entered in a drawing to win a $100 American Express gift certificate.
Anyone with questions about the study can e-mail Socall at dsocall@uwyo.edu.
