University of Wyoming Events for Feb. 16

These are among the public events scheduled at the University of Wyoming Monday, Feb. 16, through Sunday, Feb. 22.

Monday, Feb. 16, 5 p.m. -- UW Center for Volunteer Service hosts a Knit-In, Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.

Tuesday, Feb. 17, and Wednesday, Feb. 18, 7 p.m. -- One of the world's most prestigious mountain festivals, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, can be seen at College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Wednesday, Feb. 18, 6:30 p.m. -- Israeli Film Overview, a producer of Israeli films will speak and show clips of Israel-related films, UW Classroom Building Room 142. Free.

Wednesday, Feb. 18, 8 a.m. -- UW Men's Basketball, Wyoming vs. UNLV, Arena-Auditorium.

Thursday, Feb. 19, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Department of Music presents the UW Wind Ensemble, Fine Arts Center concert hall. Free.

Thursday, Feb. 19-Saturday, Feb. 21 -- UW Cultural Outreach presents the Festival of Winds, Fine Arts Center concert hall. For more information, go to the Web site.

Friday, Feb. 20, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Fine Arts Outreach presents the Wyoming Jazz Ensemble with guest artist Ingrid Jensen, College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Tickets cost $5 for students and senior citizens, and $7 for others.

Saturday, Feb. 21, 1:30 p.m. -- Men's Basketball, Wyoming vs. TCU, Arena-Auditorium.

Saturday, Feb. 21, 3 p.m. -- UW Department of Music presents the Festival of Winds Final Concert, Fine Arts Center concert hall. Free.

Saturday, Feb. 21, 8 p.m. -- Jammin' in the Jungle, a dance to honor cancer survivors and for students to come dance, learn about Colleges Against Cancer and UW's first Relay for Life, Wyoming Union Gardens.

Sunday, Feb. 22, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Faculty Recital Series presents "Images: J. Turpen, Santos and Sorensson," Fine Arts Center concert hall. Tickets cost $5 for students and senior citizens, and $7 for others.
