UW Student Art Exhibition Winners Announced

More than $18,000 in prize money was awarded to winners of the University of Wyoming Art Museum's recent 34th annual Juried Student Exhibition.

The exhibition winners were selected by juror Jennifer Garner, assistant professor, director and curator of the Center for Visual Arts, Metropolitan State College of Denver. The exhibition recognizes and celebrates the creative work of UW students.

Students who received awards, listed by hometown, title of work and award, are:

Buffalo -- Haylee Bolinger, "Prostiwhoshion," Office of Academic Affairs Purchase Award; and Lisa Lofgren, "Scene 1: India," UW Libraries Purchase Award.

Casper -- Stephanie Meyer, "Masterpiece," UW Division of Administration Purchase Award; Leighton White, "Self Portrait," Office of Academic Affairs Purchase Award and "Untouchables," College of Engineering Purchase Award; and Steven Neuberger, "The Spill Brewery," Jacque Buchanan Graphics Arts Award.

Cheyenne -- Bethany Karban, "Tying the Knot," Pink Purse Society Excellence Award and "Untitled," Outreach School Purchase Award; and Hauva Manookin, "Between Here and Nowhere," UW Division of Administration Purchase Award.

Cody -- Abby Jackson, "Pods of Self Representation," UW Art Museum National Advisory Board Award; and Josh Boudreau, "Confessions of a Lovely Room," Joe C. Tull Jr. Memorial Purchase Award in Printmaking and Photography.
