Pianist Bogard to Perform Music by Women Composers

Pianist Theresa Bogard, interim chair of the department of music at the University of Wyoming, will perform "Music by Women Composers" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, in the Fine Arts Center concert hall. Tickets cost $5 for students and seniors and $7 for others.

Her solo recital will include pieces by composers Margaret Bonds, Clara Schumann, Julie Perry, Joan Tower, Emma Lou Diemer, Denise Garcia and Louise Talma. She will perform the same program later this semester in Casper, Tennessee, Korea and China.

Bogard performs numerous solo and chamber music recitals throughout the United States each year and has appeared in concerto performances with the UW Symphony Orchestra, the UW Chamber Orchestra and the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed to rave reviews in Australia, Belgium, Mexico, New Zealand and Russia, among other places.
