Pita Pit, the newest dining option at the University of Wyoming, will open Wednesday, March 25, in the Wyoming Union food court. Pita Pit will be open during the spring semester Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

"Pita Pit is an international franchise that offers customers a healthy and affordable alternative to fast food restaurants," says Eric Webb, director of Dining Services. "Pita Pit serves personalized breakfast, lunch and dinner pitas, salads and various side items throughout the day. This is the first Pita Pit franchise in the state of Wyoming."

Official grand opening activities for the Pita Pit are planned for the week of March 30. Webb says coupons for free and discounted pitas will be handed out in Prexy's Pasture and the Simpson Plaza. Pita Pit will also feature daily promotions including specially priced combos, discounted pitas and free cookies with the purchase of any pita.

"Residence Life & Dining Services is excited to partner with Pita Pit, and we are confident that this location will be a great new addition to the dining options available within the Wyoming Union," says Webb. "Pita Pit offers the type of convenient, affordable, healthy dining options that many customers have been asking for."

Residence Life & Dining Services will soon open a Panda Express in the food court. The construction staging area is in place and initial demolition is complete. The construction bid for Panda Express was awarded to Arcon, Inc.
