The University of Wyoming will host the Wyoming Bouldering Series Championship Saturday, March 28, at the Half Acre Gym climbing wall.
Registration will be from noon-1 p.m. that day and will cost $15 for UW students and Half Acre members and $20 for all other participants. The competition will run from 1-4 p.m. for women and 3-6 p.m. for men. Categories include beginner, intermediate, advanced, and open for both men and women. The event is sponsored by 307 Bouldering.
Competition finalists will be announced and drawing prizes will be distributed in Room 133 of the Classroom Building following the competition. Prizes and drawing items include clothing and gear donated by regional and national sponsors.
Immediately following the drawing and prize distribution the climbing film "Pure" by Chuck Fryberger will be shown. For those not attending the competition, this film will be show in the Classroom Building around 7:30 p.m. Fryberger's high-action film focuses on 19 climbers as they boulder across the world.
