Cadet Club to Host Spring Festival

April 2, 2009

The University of Wyoming Cadet Club and Army ROTC will sponsor a spring festival Tuesday, April 7, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

"This event will give students an opportunity to release some stress between classes by participating in sumo wrestling, a basketball shoot and a laser duck hunt in Prexy's Pasture, as well as shooting .22 caliber rifles in the Half Acre rifle range," says Ben Nemec, ROTC public affairs officer.

The events in Prexy's Pasture are free, and food and beverages will be available for purchase. The rifle shoot costs $2 and will last from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

The entrance to the rifle range is located near the bus stop on the east side of Half Acre. Participants should look for an open south-facing door and go straight down the stairs.

For more information, contact Nemec at bnemec@uwyo.edu or (832) 414-1657.
