Monday, April 27-Wednesday, April 29, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Theatre and Dance presents operas "Gianni Schicchi" by Giacomo Puccini and "The Medium" by Gian Carlo Menotti, Fine Arts Center main stage. Tickets cost $7 for students, $11 for seniors and $14 for the public.
Wednesday, April 29, and Thursday, April 30 -- Acclaimed visual artist Hong Chung Zhang will present an open portfolio of her work Wednesday from 9-10:30 a.m. in Room 226 of the Fine Arts Center and will give a public lecture Thursday in Room 111 of the Fine Arts Center. Free
Thursday, April 30, 2-6 p.m. -- The Celtic Heritage Society will sponsor traditional Highland games in Fraternity Mall.
Thursday, April 30, 2:15 p.m. -- The Science and Mathematics Teaching Center will host speaker David Greenwood, a leading scholar on place-based education, Room 105 of the Classroom Building.
Thursday, April 30, 7:30 p.m . -- The UW Symphonic Band free concert, Fine Arts Center concert hall.
Friday, May 1, 7 p.m. -- International mountaineer and adventurer Jamie Clarke will discuss his past adventures and plans for his fourth climb of Mount Everest, Room 214 of the Classroom Building. Free.
Friday, May 1, 7 p.m. Laramie River Rendezvous Rodeo, Cliff and Martha Hansen Livestock Teaching Arena. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for students age 12 years and older and free to UW students and children under 12.
Friday, May 1, 7:30 p.m. -- Conducting class free concert, Fine Arts Center concert hall.
