Team UW Recognized at Race for the Cure

August 10, 2009 — The University of Wyoming team won awards in two categories during Saturday's Komen Race for the Cure to raise money for breast cancer research.

UW placed first in the school team category with nearly 150 runners; and was also first place in the fund-raising category for schools, raising more than $1,670.

Nearly 2,000 runners raised more than $46,700 during the annual event at the State Capitol in Cheyenne.
