UW Calendar for Week of Aug. 24-30

August 21, 2009 — These are among the activities scheduled at the University of Wyoming during the week of Aug. 24-30.

Monday, Aug. 24, 6 p.m. -- President's welcome back barbecue, Wyoming Union ballroom, with entertainment by hypnotist Daniel James. Free.

Wednesday, Aug. 26, 8 p.m. -- Head for the Hills bluegrass concert, with opening act Jalan Crossland, College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Friday, Aug. 28, 7:30 p.m. -- Singer-songwriter Ian Tyson in concert, Fine Arts Center concert hall. Tickets, $35 for adults and $25 for students and senior citizens, are available by calling (307) 766-6666 or by visiting the Fine Arts Center ticket office.

Saturday, Aug. 29, 9-11 p.m. -- Chadzilla and the Asteroids will perform during the 80s theme night dance on Fraternity Mall (Union ballroom in case of bad weather). Free.
