Wyoming Retirement System Educator to Visit UW Campus

August 3, 2009

A retirement educator with the Wyoming Retirement System (WRS) will visit the UW campus Aug. 18 and 19. New benefitted employees and those with questions about pension benefits or the state's deferred compensation plan are encouraged to attend.

The seminar, "Understanding Retirement Benefits-Taking Charge of Your Retirement," will be presented from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19. Both presentations will be in Room 203 of the Wyoming Union.

"This seminar provides employees with an introduction to the WRS pension, personal investment vehicles and basic retirement planning," says Roy Thompson, WRS retirement educator.

Employees can schedule an appointment to discuss their individual situations by calling Thompson at (307) 777-3512.
