A new radio station offering classical music, full time, can now be heard 24 hours daily in most of Sweetwater County.
Wyoming Public Media's Classical Wyoming network recently launched
station KZUW at 88.5 FM. It can be heard in Rock Springs, Green River,
Superior, Reliance and along Interstate 80.
"KZUW's Classical Wyoming offers the greatest classical compositions, in
their finest recorded performances, introduced by knowledgeable
announcers," says Roger Adams, Wyoming Public Radio program director.
"It also offers insightful commentary, special shows and features about
the music and musicians, and without commercials, as a public service."
Additionally, listeners can hear BBC newscasts on the hour, with WPR
statewide news weekday mornings at 7:04, 8:04 and 9:04 and afternoons at
5:04, 6:04 and 7:04 plus the award-winning Open Spaces Wyoming magazine
every Sunday morning at 9.
A service of the University of Wyoming, KZUW joins stations in Casper,
Cheyenne, Jackson and Laramie in the growing Classical Wyoming network.
