September 23, 2009

Both Willett Street entrances to the parking lot west of the UW College of Law Building and north of the Fine Arts Center will be blocked beginning at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, for the dedication and ribbon cutting of the William N. Brimmer Legal Education Center at the University of Wyoming College of Law.

The ceremony, scheduled to start at 6 p.m., should be over by 7 p.m. While the lot is blocked,  parking should be available in the lot east of the Fine Arts Center and west of War Memorial Fieldhouse, which can be accessed from Grand Avenue. Individuals planning to arrive early for the volleyball game or the Wind Symphony and Wind Ensembles concert should plan to park in this lot.

Also as part of UW Law Week, U.S. marshals will require security screenings during the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals hearings Friday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. in Room 178 of the College of Law Building, with a question and answer session to follow.

Metal detectors will be in place, and all bags and backpacks will be searched. Additionally, no cameras, video recorders or any type of electronic recording devices will be allowed in the courtroom. Picture IDs will be required.
